Legibility is judged at print size, not on a screen. There is no single minimum in millimetres: stroke weight, colour contrast and how the body curves decide it. Bold wording holds, hairline strokes and very small capitals close up during firing. The free mockup shows the setting in about an hour and the physical sample confirms the final stroke weight.

Send vector artwork, ideally with the type outlined, or the font file plus the wording exactly as it should appear. Capitals, punctuation, line breaks and spelling are taken from that file, so proofread it before sending. The mockup is built from it, and the physical sample follows the approved layout.

Yes, when the body and the decoration method stay the same. Different wording, colours and designs combine toward the 500-piece minimum, so a retail chain can run a different line for each store in one order. Every wording needs its own artwork approval and position check, and the number of variants is confirmed at quoting.

The printed panel is set between the handle and the rim, and the mockup shows where the block of text sits before any sample is made. The approved sample is the position reference for the run. QC checks artwork position before print, again at final inspection, and sends a photo report before shipment.

It depends on the type size and the capacity you pick. The 11oz body is the standard reference, the 8oz panel is shorter, and the 15oz and 20oz bodies give more room for a longer quote. The mockup shows the fit in about an hour; wording that crowds the panel is set smaller or carried into a wrap.

Both routes are used. Screen print suits wording in one or two solid colours with bold strokes, which is the usual choice for a short line or a logo lockup. Decal carries fine lettering, several colours and gradients, so a long quote or a script typeface usually goes that way. The method is fixed before sampling.

Underglaze print, decal and laser engraving are rated for daily use, so printed text holds up in a busy dishwash cycle. The exception is a gold rim: where the design carries one, hand washing without abrasive pads keeps the band intact. Tell us the washing regime and the method is chosen to match it.

It is covered by the print price, not charged per line. The indicative $2.50 per piece at 500 pcs covers a standard 11oz ceramic body with one print option from single colour to eight-colour full wrap, FOB Liling, and falls to $2.20 at 3,000 pcs and $2.00 at 10,000 pcs. Freight, duties, new tooling and third-party testing are quoted separately.

Yes. The digital mockup is free and ready about an hour after a complete brief, and it carries the exact spelling, capitals and line breaks you supply. Approval on that mockup releases the physical sample, which ships in 7–10 days and is charged at a fee credited against the production order.

Work back from the shelf date. Production runs 30–45 days after sample approval, the sample takes 7–10 days after artwork approval, and sea freight adds about 30 days. August to November is the tightest window across our 20 kilns, so a Q4 programme should be sampled and booked before that stretch fills.
